That’s the result of an IBM survey of 25,000 adults in the U.S. More than half of the respondents who use ride sharing app services said they will use these services less or stop completely. Seventeen percent say they will use their personal vehicle more, with many saying they will use it as the only mode of transportation.
Surveys are useful for measuring the immediate temperature of opinion in the short-term. Long-term trends suggest the mobility horse is already out of the barn. COVIC-19 might slow adoption, but usage will probably grow dramatically over time.
