Coronavirus could give Tesla advantages over traditional automakers both in electric vehicle investment as well as the development of self-driving systems. In a Medium article written prior to the current coronavirus environment, I wrote about Tesla having potential insurmountable advantages. With some automakers choosing to delay or reduce EV and autonomous vehicle investments to preserve liquidity, COVID-19 could extend Tesla’s lead.

I think you make a good point. The other option for some of the competing automotive companies is the scuttle some of their planned non electric products and double down on their electric offerings thereby maximizing their limited resources.
