In a prior post, I discussed the irresponsibility of Tesla calling their advanced level 2 plus adaptive cruise control system, Autopilot. It seems that Senator Markey (D-Mass.) agrees. Senator Markey’s announcement today called Autopilot a “flawed system” and recommended that Tesla rebrand and remarket the system to prevent it from being used incorrectly. Senator Markey is a member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.
