While Tesla and General Motors might seem obvious, companies like Microsoft might be a surprise. Just today, Microsoft announced a $2 billion investment in GM’s autonomous driving subsidiary, Cruise. Many may not know that Microsoft developed a number of Azure cloud performance computing technologies useful to vehicle innovation and autonomous driving capability.
